Greymouth to Franz Josef

This was probably the part of the journey where we spent the least amount of time on the bus!
Stopped in Hokitika which is famous for their greenstone (poinamu) You could see them making things in the workshop. Joe picked something up and it snapped. sharp exit out the shop.
A tiny town we stopped in called Ross has lots of gold underneath the land and one of the woman in the town refused to move house so they have to dig around the town to look for gold!

Franz Josef was really a small town but they are famous for the glacier.
In the evening we went looking for glow-worms. We didnt take any lights and it was pitch black out, there were another group ahead of us and when they came back with their torches we all huddled in a circle and closed our eyes so we could adjust them to the darkness!
