National Park to Wellington

This was the last part of our journey with Buzz - our driver. He was such a nice guy - really got on well with him. Hopefully we will see him when we go back to the North Island!

On the way down we passed a giant carrot not too sure why it is there but here it is:

If i remember rightly, i think joe refused to get out the bus and come with me for a pic!
The next stop was Wellington, which was a really cool city. good vibes but still pretty small.
They had a museum calle Te Papa, which was free and had so much in it we spent a good few hours in there. It even had a Maori spiritual place where you could go in and you have to take your shoes off and look around! Was really interesting.

You can go to a point in Wellington where you can see the city and see out to the cook strait where you have to catch a ferry to get to the South Island.

We made friends on the bus and decided as we were in Wellington and there was abit more going on that we would go out drinking!
This started off in one of the rooms playing ring of fire. i will never learn. i get so drunk playing that game. We actually never made it to a bar as we couldnt find any 'lively' ones. one of the guys actually asked the bar man at one of the bars where were the lively bars as yours is too quiet. embarrassing!
In our hostel dorm, there was a women who was probs in her 30s and looked like she lived there, she got into bed at 7 and tried to sleep who the F does thaat. then she kept sighin when we were getting ready and i was being super quiet! i dont understand why you would stay in a dorm if you want to sleep that early!
Ended up a fun night even though we wandered for a loooong time!
